Oct 30, 2014 · 2002 Prairie 300 4x4 - the starter button stopped working. I have systematically looked at the issue from the button itself down to the solenoid on to the starter and the battery. For the life of me I have no idea what is the problem. The starter button shows it has voltage reaching it. The battery is good (it works fine on my Praire 400). It would act as if not getting fuel like a vapor lock. AFter a while it would start back up. I had been told once by a ute racer that the check valve/tank breather that comes out of the tank and is in line on the right side rear would do that. I removed the skid pan and found a tube that was coming out of the engine that was leaking. Checked the oil level and it is fine and the coolent level is fine.
